On July 2nd, 2004, Equinox was asked,
on this planet think one person can meet all their needs. How do
we get over possessiveness to follow or understand your concept of
multiple relationships for our multiple needs and desires? What
steps do we take?
EQ: Well, we think that we began that with what we talked of with
responsibility. If the first step is thought and the second step
is action, then the first thing that each of thee need to know is thee
possess nothing. Dost thou understand? Even thy own
physical bodies are not thy possession. Is this not so? And
many of thee do not even know how to handle it well.
Correct? How can thee possibly believe that thee can handle
another being well? And is not possession then the idea that if
thee own, then thee are responsible for?
EQ: Can thee be responsible for another’s choices?
EQ: Can thee be responsible for another’s happiness?
When you said that the first thought
that came to my mind was my children and how I feel it is my
responsibility to rear them in the right direction, teach them the
right things so that when I release them from the nest I know that I’ve
created a responsible human being.
EQ: The question we would ask is what is right? If each
person believes they know what is right, and each person thinks what is
right is slightly different, what is right?
Well if we’re in connection with the
Source, will we not get that information?
EQ: Absolutely not, because thee block it. What we would
say unto thee is what thee do in rearing thy children is thee socialize
them. Dost thou understand this concept? Thee make this
entity socially acceptable for thy world. Dost thou
understand? What happens if thy world changes?
Then they’re not as fit as they were
EQ: Exactly. So it is never thy choice what thy child will
perceive no matter how thee rear it, is it? Dost thou believe
everything thy parents taught thee?
EQ: Did thee accept it?
At the time, sure.
EQ: Oh, did thee?
Well…I guess not all of it.
EQ: The best that anyone can do is treat other beings in a way
that is without anger, without resentment, without expectation and
without possession. Dost thou understand? When thee exist
in those areas, then thee can not exist in love. Can thee?
Not at all?
EQ: Thee can not exist in it at all. If thee have an
expectation that thy love has to do with what this entity will do, then
what happens if they do something else?
My expectation didn’t get met.
EQ: And thee will stop feeling the same type of love. If
thee believe that thee own someone and that one’s happiness lies
somewhere else, dost thou still allow thyself to love them for their
choice? Not on Terra, not if thee think thee possess
another. If thee understand that the Source shall meet all that
thee want, shall fulfill all thy needs, then thee do not look for one
other to be the Source. Dost thou understand? And then thee
can share energy with many entities. And in that sharing, can
begin again to feel the linkage with the Source. As long as thee
are truly attempting to find all that thee need from one, two or even
three other entities, thee will always have an expectation, is this not
so? If all expectation is abandoned, and instead thee understand
that choice, choice and responsibility for thy own views is all that
thee can do, then thee live happily ever after if that is thy
choice. No other entity can make thee incomplete or scared or
mad, for thee trust thee are safe, no matter if thee do not understand
what safe is. Dost thou understand? If thee have an
expectation that death is a horrible thing, then thee will live in fear
of death, is this not so? If instead thee believe that what ever
happens - whatever happens - thee will live in splendor and happiness,
will thee fear anything?
And it’s as simple as that, isn’t it?
EQ: Yes. It is absolute trust. This is all.
That the Source knows, the Source loves and that thee are just learning
how to be that.
What steps can we take to move toward
EQ: The first step is to begin with thy thinking. If thee
absolutely accept that thee can not own anything or anyone, if thee
absolutely accept this, then possession disappears, does it not?
And what has happened when one believes they own another being?
Does this not usually make this other being want to run from them?
EQ: And thee use all kinds of excuses. And thee name this
thing jealousy. But what this really is, is insecurity, is this
not so? And if thee can not possess anyone but thy own thoughts,
if that is the only possession thee can have, then choose what thoughts
thee utilize. If another entity says something that make thee
sad, or another entity that thee feel attached to decides that that
attachment is not one that they want and they move on, thee have a
choice to be in pain or not by thy thoughts. Usually, if thee
choose to be in pain, it’s because thee have convinced thyself with thy
thoughts of two things: thee are somehow unworthy and there will
never be another to fill this spot, isn’t that true? If thee
thought instead, “I am a wondrous creature and there are many that see
that, and this one needs time to understand who it is. Meanwhile,
others will be drawn to my light,” then thee may miss the other
person, but thee will not be in great sadnesses over their
disappearance for a while. And if thee do not hold on, and if
thee are truly emanating this wondrous belief system, they will go back
to thee. Thee can not lose anything thee have not owned.
Dost thou understand?
So, if I, for example, have a friend
with whom I felt there was some sort of a disconnection, and in my mind
I had these thoughts about this disconnection, when in reality it
wasn’t that, that creates that disconnection, right?
EQ: And makes the disconnection more permanent, for thee begin to
close off. If, instead, thee say to thyself, “I have not the
information to know what occurred. I only know that I choose to
feel differently about this than I could, and that difference will make
me ok,” then the other entity can then make a choice how they want to
be. Dost thou understand? Thee are not pushing them
away. Thee are not strangulating them to pull them to thee.
Thee are allowing and in that allow, there is still the
connection. Dost thou understand? Many entities sever that
connection. They do not want the entity to leave, but then they
say, “If you leave, never come back.”
Why do we do that?
EQ: Because thy thought is that thee should own, that the other
person belongs to thee and as such they have no rights. That’s
what possession is. If thee own another person, is that not what
was called slavery once? And what could the slave do?
Absolutely nothing without the owner’s permission, is that not
so? This is how many think about their partners and their
children, even their friends. Thee must act a particular way or
else. Would thee like this to be what thee are thought of as,
You’ve spoken in the past about
pre-life choices, programming that we set up before we come into this
EQ: Not programming. It is experiences that thee have
chosen to experience. How thee appreciate those experiences is up
In light of what we’re discussing
here, what your offering of course is an alternative to going through
the pain and heartache, yet is it not also possible that there are
those that have chosen the experience?
EQ: No. No. Thee chose the experience. How thee
react to the experience is each entities choice. We know thee
have seen it. Are there not entities upon Terra that have
horrible accidents and can no longer move? And all they want to
do is die and they become bitter and mean? Are there not other
entities that use this experience to grow and never think of bitterness
or meanness or how did this happen to them? This is choice.
Both souls wanted the experience of the accident.
So the difference is one is the
experience and the other is the reaction or emoting.
And you are giving us the option to
emote differently, to think and feel about it differently.
EQ: Absolutely. This is taking back thy own power.
This is the soul’s choice to choose
the experience and the ego’s decision as to how it’s going to react.
Can we change the experience from the
EQ: Absolutely. Let us say thee have chosen to have an
accident. And thee have chosen to have no use of thy legs.
Dost thou understand? And thee do not react to this by being
bitter or angry. Instead thy choice is to find a way to walk,
find a way to heal thyself with thy mind, find scientists that are
working in this area. Then, although the soul wanted the accident
and possibly the paralysis, when thee chose to not have the experience
of not giving up, thee set a whole new group of experiences that had
nothing to do with giving up. Dost thou understand? So,
yes, the soul has a group of experiences it wants to have, and what
thee do with these experiences creates other options. It is a
As we sit here, there are a series of
alternate realities out there depending upon the experiences we choose
or not choose to have…
EQ: Exactly. And it isn’t really alternate realities; it is
the reality that thee create at any moment. It is not alternate;
it just is. Thee are creating everything each moment.
