Why is Humanity Greedy and Selfish? -

On November 6th, 2009, Equinox was asked:
Why is Humanity so self-centered, selfish, and greedy verses wanting to be connected?

EQ: When Entities left the Source they left a memory of Complete Fullness, of no desire, or no lack. And when thee close thy eyes to the Connectedness then thee needed to fill this with something. And what Humanity began to fill it with, and this is not by any means all of humanity, but the majority of humanity, filled it with Ego. Filled it with the belief if what each independent individual felt was more important than what thy neighbor felt, even thy spouse or children felt. From that then comes Competition. Competition breeds Desire. Desire breeds Accumulation. And the belief in Lack. If you've got more than me, then I lack something and I have to have it. And does that not make me more self-centered? This is what has happened. When Humanity was in a survival struggle and every time when Humanity is in a survival struggle the opposite occurs. Entities begin to band together again because they become aware that they cannot do it independently. So every time Humanity gets to a point in which it is so self-serving some catastrophe occurs because it is logical and it then opens a path to re-uniting and reaching a common goal. Right now thee are on the precipice of the 100th Monkey, but whose 100th Monkey? Thee are now reaching a point where thee are becoming more and more aware of how powerful thy minds are and that can be used to re-unite, to open the memories to what thee really are, or to send thee back into a Dark Age. And the difference in the two is succumbing to fear and allowing other's egos to guide thy path instead of thee using thy own mind.
